Accountant Reports

Accountant reports give detailed, audit-ready views of your chart of accounts and postings.

All reports support: Sorting, Column customization, Advanced filters, Date range (defaults to current month), and Export & Print (PDF, XLSX, CSV, with print preview).


1) Account Transactions

A line-by-line ledger of all postings across accounts for the selected period.

Columns

  • Date — Posting date.
  • Transaction Type — e.g., Bill, Invoice, Credit Note, Expense, Manual Journal.
  • Transaction Account — The ledger account impacted.
  • Transaction Contact — Linked Supplier or Customer (if applicable).
  • Debit — Debit amount of the line.
  • Credit — Credit amount of the line.
  • Amount — Net effect of the line.

Sort & Columns

  • Sort by any column (A–Z / Z–A).
  • Add or remove any column from the view.

Group

  • Account
  • Transaction Type
  • Business Entity / Contact (Customer or Supplier)
  • Bookkeeping Type (Debit or Credit)

Advanced Filters

  • Include/Exclude:
    • Account (searchable by Account Code)
    • Account Type
    • Account Group
    • Parent Account
    • Business Entity / Contact
    • Bookkeeping Type (Debit/Credit)
    • Reference Type: Bill, Credit Note, Expense, Invoice, Manual Journal
  • Amount Range (min → max)

2) Account Type Summary

A summarized view of debits and credits by account group and type.

Columns

  • Account Group — Asset, Equity, Expense, Liability, Revenue
  • Account Type — The specific type within the group
  • Debit — Total debits in period
  • Credit — Total credits in period

(Use standard sorting and column show/hide as needed.)


3) General Ledger

Account-level balances for the period, including opening, activity, and closing.

Columns

  • Account
  • Opening Balance
  • Debit
  • Credit
  • Balance
  • Closing Balance
  • Account Type

Group

  • Account Type or Account Group

Columns

  • Include/Exclude any column.

Advanced Filters

  • Include/Exclude Account Type and Account Group.

4) Detailed General Ledger

A drill-down ledger with transaction-level detail per account.

Columns

  • Account
  • Date
  • Transaction Type
  • Transaction Number
  • Contact — Customer or Supplier (if linked)
  • Debit
  • Credit
  • Amount (Overall)

Columns

  • Add or remove any column.

Advanced Filters

  • Include/Exclude:
    • Account, Account Code
    • Account Type, Account Group, Parent Account
    • Business Entity / Contact
    • Bookkeeping Type (Debit/Credit)
    • Source Reference Type (e.g., Bill, Credit Note, Expense, Invoice, Manual Journal)
    • Amount (range)

5) Journal Report

A chronological list of journal entries with their debits and credits.

Columns

  • Date
  • Transaction Type
  • Debit
  • Credit

(Use sorting, column show/hide, date filtering, and export as required.)


6) Trial Balance

Balances by account within each major group—used to verify that total debits equal total credits.

Structure & Columns

  • Account Groups (sections): Revenue, Liability, Expense, Equity, Asset
  • Accounts — Listed under their respective groups
  • Debit — Period debit total/balance per account
  • Credit — Period credit total/balance per account

Tips

  • Use Group and Advanced Filters in Account Transactions and (Detailed) General Ledger to isolate exactly what you need (e.g., a single customer’s postings in a specific account group within an amount range).
  • Export Trial Balance before period close for quick checks and archival.
